the devil wears prada

(not really a movie review)

marc jacobs, jimmy choos, manolo blahnik, chanel, dolce & gabbana, valentino and of course, prada all in one movie almost made me hyperventilate. i got my eyes glued on the screen because of the shoes, clothes and bags. truly a sight for sore eyes. my god! it is really one job to die for. i mean just to get my hands on those brands and getting to keep them for free would be heaven on earth.

prior to watching the movie, i had some doubts if meryl streep can pull off the “glamorous” side of miranda. because acting wise, no doubt about it. she’s an oscar winner for crying out loud. but true enough like any other great actress, meryl streep delivered with flying colors. she was transformed into this beautiful, sophisticated and glamorous woman. i liked her acting so much because she was “under acting” (i’m not sure though if that’s the right term for it). she had this monotone all throughout the movie. she never shouted or raised her voice. i so heart miranda and meryl.

edward will tell you that this is not a chick flick. he enjoyed watching it and laughed on much parts of the movie. he loved it so much that he wants to watch it again. but my “girlfriend instinct” tells me that he loves the movie because of anne hathaway. and he’s paying too much attention to anne hathaway now because of her short breast exposure scene in the movie brokeback mountain. hehehe.
